I took the shuttle bus to Rio Negro yesterday morning for the 4 waterfalls and hot springs which I had alone, all 8 pools! I sat in one for about 25 minutes which is long enough for 40 degrees centigrade (104 F). As I was leaving a van of tourists from Spain came in from another hotel to soak in the hot springs.
The three birds are new ones for this trip. And these 3 were all photographed before breakfast in trees in front of my room! 🙂 The featured photo at top today is one of those, a White-fronted Parrot, a new bird or “lifer” for me!

¡Pura Vida!
That hot (volcano) springs sure looks inviting. It must have felt like a reward to have had it all by yourself . . . peaceful, relaxing, and meditative. I noticed you didn’t show any photos of you in the mud pool. (Written in laughter.)
I really enjoy your daily blog entries, accompanied by photographs. I am certain that take a lot of discipline and time. However, you are making a priceless record of your life. And, I’m blessed to be able to read it each day.
The hotel has marketing photos of swimsuit-clad young adults with volcanic mud smeared on their faces and all over their bodies – not appealing to me! But the hot springs are like relaxing in a Jacuzzi out in a forest! Quite tranquil! And glad I did it alone before the dozen chattering women from Spain arrived! 🙂
