This morning I got a driver who knew “the best guide” in nearby Cahuita National Park and I spent a couple of hours photographing wildlife there with the same two guys taking me to Gandoca-Manzanillo Refuge tomorrow for probably even more wildlife. Below is one shot then a gallery of only some of the wildlife I saw and photographed . . .

¡Pura Vida!
I have never seen the laughing falcon but I have heard them – great bird
Margaret, I hope you do get to see one soon! They are beautiful birds and seen in many different parts of Costa Rica. I’ve seen them in 4 national parks or reserves (Cahuita NP, Corcovado, Palo-Verde, and Caño Negro) plus at Maquenque Ecolodge and Reserve at Boca Tapada, San Carlos River north of here. The Laughing Falcon is my favorite!!!
