One of the common butterflies here is the Dina Yellow, Pyrisitia dina, which I have featured more than once in the past, but still an enjoyable butterfly to share. Here’s 3 shots from my garden the other day . . .
See also my Dina Yellow Gallery for more, then go find a butterfly in your garden! 🙂
And note that this is still early for a lot of butterflies here, with my experience being that I see the most from June to October.
¡Pura Vida!
Your lens settings for your photos is spot on! You are able to focus on your subject and blur the background so well. Kudos to you!
¡Muchas gracias Ellen! It is how I like to do photos of birds, butterflies, etc. and it helps that I now use a 150-600mm zoom lens (Tamron) that gives me the blurred backgrounds (all long lens do, even a 200).
I hope you guys will be posting your photos from your recent tour of Costa Rica somewhere online so I can see them. Let me know when available. Most online galleries like SmugMug, Flickr, etc. provide free galleries up to a limited number of photos if you don’t already have an online gallery.
