Finally! Rainy Season seems to have started with rains every afternoon for 4 days straight now, but oh so much later than usual and from what I’ve read, we may still have a drier rainy season than usual. It is amazing how much greener it gets here after even one rain! And how many more birds! Below are photos of 4 birds I managed to snap this week. I love the rainy season, my favorite time of year here! And most days it rains only 2 or 3 hours in the late afternoon or early evening.
And you might want to check out all of my CR Bird photos in my Costa Rica Bird Galleries by Species (365+).
Personal Catch-up
I’ve been frustrated this week because I’ve gone most of the week without internet that was restored today (Thursday) and it shouldn’t have taken that long but I kept calling the wrong number for my provider (their WhatsApp # instead of the Help Line, dummy me!). Finally the nice girl at our Atenas computer shop (Unitec) gave me the right number and I was scheduled for service tomorrow afternoon but the technician was ahead of schedule and came this afternoon. Again, my age-related memory problem caused me to not remember where the Cable-box is located, but a call to the landlord solved that problem and finally a simple fix of using the cable company’s Wifi router instead of the one I bought at Unitec had me up and running after 5 frustrating days! On top of this, I had a bit of minor surgery on my forehead, removing another growth that the dermatologist is getting a biopsy of which I will learn about when I return there next Thursday. Plus 2 trips to San Jose and 2 to Alajuela for things related to my participation in the new art gallery opening soon in Atenas which I will tell you more about in another post. But this morning I picked up a special ordered circular basket 30cm across to display my floral photo accent throw pillows which I will share about later.
Generally my health is good, though slowing down or tiring quicker now which is difficult for an ol’ hyperactive guy like me! 🙂 When all of my photo products are delivered through Aeropost, I will relax again and hopefully make more nature photos for this blog and other uses! 🙂
¡Pura Vida!
I’m happy for you, the birds, and the plants to hear about the rainy season starting up! Sorry to hear about the internet problems. It seems like as we get older things like that can become even more frustrating, but I’m so glad it’s now repaired.
You sure are staying busy! Try not to overdo it and enjoy each day. I’m looking forward to hearing about your floral photo accent throw pillows!
Thanks Bonnie! I will definitely slow down some since I just got word that the ladies are canceling the art gallery plans. If you were here, I would give you a bunch of stuff! 🙂
