“There’s something magical about rooftops. You feel like you’re in ‘Mary Poppins.'”
~George Clarke
ROOFTOPS through my Higueron (Strangler Fig) Tree . . .
“Up where the smoke is all bellowed and curled / ‘Tween pavement and stars is the chimney sweep world / When there’s hardly no day, nor hardly no night / There’s things half in shadow and halfway in light / On the rooftops . . . what a sight!”
Bert in “Mary Poppins”
NOTE of explanation: Most of Residencial Roca Verde (a “gated community”) is big houses on large lots, and most have 1 or 2 casitas (little houses) for guests or rent like what I’m in, except across the street from me, where there is a cluster of small lots with houses very close together like in the cities or Central Atenas, typical of Tico housing, thus my tree filtered view of multiple roofs together (most occupied by Ticos).
And the long-range plan for the cow pasture next to these houses and across from me is to fill it with houses surrounded by a walking path, swimming pool and party rancho like a condominium. The owner says maybe just for senior adults. Hoping that will be a while! :-) I like the cow pasture!

¡Pura Vida!
Crawl up on your roof, with violin in your hand, and sing, “🎵 If I were a rich man . . . “ (from the Fiddler on the Roof musical).
If you were rich you could buy all that land and keep your pasture!
¡Si señor! ¡Pero no soy! 🙂 Not a violin player, singer nor rich man! 🙂
Very interesting!
I agree with Larry! But of course I would since my husband was a Larry!

🙂 And you would like this Larry too! A cool guy! Thanks for continuing to read my photo-blog! 🙂
