My landlord “K” has really brightened his other properties with Zinnia flower beds and thus hundreds of butterflies for his tenants, especially in his two AirBNB short-term rentals where tourists and short-term visitors will be thrilled with the butterflies. Then he recently had his gardener plant a little patch along our driveway next to my upper garden of Porterweeds. So now I have two different major attractions for butterflies. Here’s just one shot with a slide show online including some shots with butterflies on them! 🙂 And one with a ladybug! 🙂

Visitors Today!
Yesterday afternoon friends from Nashville flew into San Jose to begin a Caravan Tour of Costa Rica starting with dinner tonight. This morning Walter and I will pick them up for personal tours of the Jade Museum and the National Museum (of History) with lunch in-between, then we get them back to their Hotel for an introductory dinner and they begin touring the country tomorrow morning for a week. It is basically the same tour I took in 2010 and described at Caravan.com. Or you can see my 2010 photos of the tour that was 10 days back then and included Tortuguero! But by slightly shortening it to 8 days, they’ve kept the price at still around a thousand dollars per person and providing more than any other tour here at that cost! A really good deal! I also used Caravan for a Panama Tour, Mexico Tour and the Grand Canyons of the U.S. tour. So I like them! 🙂
Their tour concludes with breakfast next Sunday the 17th and Walter and I will again come collect them and their traveling companions for a visit to the National Museum of Costa Rican Art, lunch, and maybe another stop before taking their friends to the airport and then bringing Gary & Kenna back to Atenas for a slower week visit here that will include Poas Volcano, waterfalls, another San Jose museum, walking around Atenas, and maybe a wildlife rescue center in La Garita. Thus the following week will be very busy for me! 🙂 I look forward to hosting them and that week I will try to report daily on all our activities which includes dermatology cancer surgery on my face one morning. 🙂 No big deal anymore! 🙂
