Wading Shorebirds

One fun thing about going to the coast is seeing some of the many types of wading shorebirds. Below the email version pix is a slide show of 6 different shorebirds from the recent trip to the mouth of the Tarcoles River. And the mouth of a river is one of the best places to see birds because of the larger variety of food possibilities there plus the usual mangroves!

U.S. Leads in Big CR Tourism Growth in 2024

For years there have been more tourists from the U.S. here than any other one country, partly because of the proximity and wealth, but more than ever last year, with about 60% of the 2024 tourists here being from the states, the most ever! That is followed by visitors from Canada, Mexico, England, France and Germany, with a few from Latin American countries, Spain and Asia. Read more in the Tico Times Article. And nature is one of the biggest things attracting people to Costa Rica! 🙂
