The sun rises in the east behind other mountains that are behind the one that my house is on the west side of. 🙂 Simply put, I cannot see much of a sunrise from my house or terrace that faces W/NW where the vista of little mountains I often share are located. But when I am not sleeping late, I can get out on my terrace and get what I call a “reflected sunrise” on those hills in the W/NW. This past week I’ve been sleeping as late as I could to help cure my sick stomach which is now finally well! (I think!) But these two early morning “reflected sunrise” shots were made earlier in March. The feature photo at top is a panorama of three shots on my Canon 750D and this shot below for email version was a quick snap on my cheap Samsung Cellphone! 🙂

Neither are very good photos, but with my sickness and the high winds still blowing, I am simply not getting many photos of birds, butterflies or other nature to share. Thus I may not have daily posts for awhile.
Unfortunately, March came in like a lion and also went out like lion! 🙂 Normally it is windy here just January-Mid-March, but this year it started in mid-December and is still blowing strong in April, even while the Yigüirro sings his heart out daily “for the rains to come.” 🙂 And our closest volcano, Poas (North of Atenas), has been erupting which can mean some volcano ash in winds from the north. Plus we get some from Volcano Turrialba (SE of Atenas) which erupts off and on regularly. 🙂
Hopefully the wind will stop and the rains will come sooner than May, as April is one or our two “shoulder months” (April & November) which are not a part of official rainy season or winter (May-Oct), but we usually do have some rain in those two months. And in the past the winds stop when the rains started. Some of the little quirks of living in the tropics! 🙂 I love it here!
¡Pura Vida!
