When I first started going to these great conference centers in North Carolina & New Mexico they were called “Baptist Assembly” with that later changed to “Baptist Conference Center.” First as a church staff member taking groups for training and inspiration and then later while working for the denomination in two different agencies as a conference leader or speaker, I found much personal inspiration and joy in these two rather different mountain retreats.
