One of the unusual Skippers in both looks and name is this Broken Silverdrop, Epargyreus exadeus (linked to my gallery with a lot of other photos). Here’s just one shot from my garden recently . . .

An attractive and different looking Skipper that I don’t see real often, but is one of those that shows up in my garden: Broken Silverdrop, Epargyreus exadeus (linked to my gallery with more photos).

The feature photo or the next two shots after this top view shows the “broken silver drop” as the odd-shaped white spot. The scientific name is Epargyreus exadeus and it is one of the many Skipper butterflies which you can read about on butterfliesandmoths.org.
