Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel & Nature Reserve, San Ramon

This was one of those quiet get-a-ways for me at a time when not many others were there (November 2017) and I explored the trails and gardens quietly alone but did take one morning guided bird hike and the guided Night Hike one night. I was in a really nice cabin with a little fireplace and had super good food in the restaurant! This property was once the farm and home of a former president of Costa Rica and in the gardens is a little chapel in memorial to his wife. Read more about it all on their website, Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Resort.

Rooms & Food

  • As mentioned in my “Likes,” the rooms or cabins are very nice and include a fireplace. The food in the restaurant is excellent or as good as I’ve had anywhere else.
